Travel Guide to Bogac Cold Spring in Barobo, Surigao del Sur

Bogac is from the Visayan term bogwak which means flow. The spring was a source of clean water for the early settlers of Barobo.

Our Experience in Bogac Cold Spring
My Family and I are going to our house in San Francisco to visit. Along the way, we went to Bogac Cold Spring for a quick visit. It was a fine day to go for a swim.
It was my first time visiting Bogac Cold Spring. I was a bit surprised to see that even during a pandemic a lot of people are out with families and friends to go for a swim (just like us). Maybe we are just lucky to live in a province where the COVID cases were very low (at the time).
From the name itself, the spring was freaking cold. Hahaha. If you dip into the water, do it at once! You will be a bit shocked but the cold will not bother you after that.
Our visit was quick, nevertheless, it was also fun.
I hope this quick guide can help you on your way to Bogac Cold Spring.

Hopefully the local government and residents would be able to properly take care of this natural resource. Once, it disappears —we cannot bring it back. Encouraging visitors and tourists in the Bogac Cold Spring can also be done responsibly. And of course, visitors should also be aware of their social responsibility.

Ahh the place looks enchanting and is truly fascinating! It’s waters somehow reminds me of Kawasan Falls here in Cebu. I wish I could visit this place soon. I was really surprised how cheap the entrance is!

I miss going out and spending time with nature. In our home province, we have places like this we can go, too, and many places are even free. There is no need for us to pay for admission. Here is to dreaming and hoping for some getaway, too.

Whenever I wanted on a vacation and swim. I often ask if it’s freshwater, pool or beach. I always prefer fresh water because the water keeps flowing and the dirt will come off.

So many ads! hahahah
I really envy you because I know there are so many amazing places in your part of the country. Seeing you photos actually makes me depressed and miss the time that we can travel anywhere on a whim without getting swabbed or quarantined.

Oh, Roneth! This is another cool place to visit. It is a shame. My father is from Surigao del Norte and I never had the chance to visit beautiful spots. I am looking forward to go back in Mindanao (hopefully after this pandemic) and would try to visit this cold spring and some other destinations.
